Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM)
Acupuncture is a longstanding healing tradition whose roots date back some 5,000 years to China. Today and throughout its illustrious history, acupuncture has offered support to people worldwide with a broad range of conditions. As a truly holistic therapy, this medicine is tailored to each person's relative needs. What I ask of my patients is what I require of myself as a practioner --- to consider all of the factors impacting one's physical, mental, and spiritual health. My goal is to work collobaritively with my clients and encourage them to actively engage in their healing process through visualization, communication, and adopting lifestyle recommendations.
The basis of acupuncture is balance and movement. Any kind of pain or illness represents an obstruction or imbalance in the normal flow of Qi or life force. Simply put, acupuncture moves Qi, restoring free flow and balance within the body. This is done by inserting pre-sterilized, hair thin needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation to acupuncture points along the energetic pathways that traverse the body. By doing so, the body is encouraged to call upon its inherent, natural healing abilities and strive toward a more optimal state of wellness. Ultimately, the goal of an acupuncture session is to provide a safe space where one's mind and body can reunite in a way that invigorates the vitality and capacity for positive transformation accessible in everyone.
Wishing you the best in health and balance in your life,
Phil Steindler
